The 2025/26 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League officially kicks off on Friday, October 31, marking the start of another exciting season of women’s football across Ghana.
Action begins with four fixtures on the opening day, split between the Northern and Southern Zones. In the Northern Zone, FC Savannah host Ampem Darkoa Ladies at the Aliu Mahama Stadium, followed by Prisons Ladies taking on Northern Ladies later in the day.
Down south, defending champions Police Ladies will begin their title defense against Halifax Queens at the Madina Astro Turf at 1:30 p.m., before Epiphany Warriors face Army Ladies at 3:30 p.m.
The weekend continues with a lineup of intriguing clashes — AshTown Ladies vs Kumasi Sports Academy, Dreamz Ladies vs Tamale Super Ladies, and Fosu Royal Ladies vs Northern City — all promising competitive football in the Northern Zone.
In the Southern Zone, newly promoted Oak Ladies will test their strength against five-time champions Hasaacas Ladies, while Jonina Ladies meet Soccer Intellectuals.
The opening weekend wraps up at the Nsenkyire Arena, where LadyStrikers FC will lock horns with Samartex Ladies in what promises to be a thrilling encounter. LadyStrikers are looking to make a strong statement this season as they push for a top finish and build on their growing reputation as one of Ghana’s most ambitious women’s clubs.
